Tamiya's limited edition 1/24 scale kit of the Mazda Savanna RX-7. The RX-7 became popular with car enthusiasts after its mid-1970s introduction. The Savanna RX-7 debuted in 1978 with sleek lines, a lightweight monocoque body, a low-profile nose and retractable headlights. Its two-rotor rotary engine made 130hp, and the front midship layout gave balanced weight distribution. In 1980 Mazda made a minor model change. The SE Limited, the most luxurious of four versions, added a sunroof, bucket leather seats and aluminum wheels. Weight was cut by more than 30 kilograms, and a refined nose improved fuel efficiency. This re-issue was first sold in 1981 as a motorized kit. It has C parts molded in brown instead of black, new decals, an updated instruction manual and packaging, and new masking stickers for window painting.
