Tamiya 1/48 U.S. Light Tank M5A1 Stuart, Plastic Model Kit

About this part

This assembly kit recreates the US Light Tank M5A1 Stuart in 1/48 scale. The M5A1 succeeded the M3 Stuart, America's first major mass-produced light tank. Twin V8 gasoline engines gave it a top speed of 58km/h. It kept the M3 turret but had a welded hull with updated sloped frontal armor. Later M5A1s had a 37mm gun turret, larger hatches and a 7.62mm machine gun mount. About 6,800 were built, and they served in North Africa, Italy and the Western Front.
