From 1969 into the early 1970s, the Skyline GT-R won 50 races in a row in Japanese Touring Car Racing. Sixteen years later the name went to the R32, a base machine for Group A racing. Its 2.6-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine and 4WD gave it strong race performance. The R33 arrived in the 1995 model year with a larger body and refined mechanics. The R34 came in 1999, developed around ultimate driving pleasure. It has a smaller, sturdier body designed with aerodynamics in mind.
