Yamaha surprised the motorcycle world with the XV1600 Road Star, which combines traditional cruiser styling with modern technology. It is built for comfort, performance and style for today's large-capacity cruiser rider. A 1,600cc air-cooled V-twin pushrod engine sits in an ultra-long, low chassis. The OHV engine produces 46.3kW (62.6PS) at 4,000rpm and has an electric starter. Telescopic forks handle the front, and a monocross swingarm sits at the rear. Cruising Rider magazine named it 1999 Cruiser Bike of the Year. Tamiya's 1/12 Road Star recreates the bike in fine detail and joins the 1/12 Motorcycle Series. Overall dimensions: 208mm long, 89mm wide, 100mm high Assembly uses real screws and two kinds of metal-plated parts. The finned air-cooled engine, spoked wheels, and slender brake and clutch lines add realism.
