The Double Dees V2 is a refinement of a tire that was already hard to beat. The carcass is wider and sits lower than before, which gives a sturdy feel when tracking straight. The sidewall adds a little cushion over bumps and uneven ground, and the hips sit lower for better stability. Inside, the carcass webbing follows a traditional overlapping X pattern to hold the tire together at high speed. The V2 rear tire works across a range of track surfaces, so it is a dependable choice when conditions are unknown. The core of the pattern is a pair of back-to-back D-shaped pins set in the center of the tire, which gives forward bite and stability. A triangulated four-part tread layout surrounds them, with dual square pins around the center structure. The remaining tread uses staggered lugs with open gaps so dirt and debris can clear and the tire can flex. The outer pins are clipped, angled, and sliced to smooth the ride and reduce overhang.
