A complete front differential set for the XB8, with larger diff gears for more traction. The larger oil volume and well-matched gear play help keep the diff from overheating, which extends its life. Rubber-sealed composite housings have steel inserts that are precision ground by hand after molding for a fit with no vibration. The internal gears are pressed steel, heat treated, and machined for smooth operation. The 46T large external bevel gear is made from HUDY steel and machined on a special gear machine. The outdrives are HUDY Spring Steel, precision ground and heat treated, then lightened to cut rotating weight while staying strong.
