The Tusk 2.9-inch tire is JConcepts' new scale off-road tire in green compound. It was developed after successful class 2 tires, with the team reworking the tread layout from driving, crawling, and a long development process. The 7.13-inch sizing has been kept, so it remains scale based. The Tusk handles terrain with heavy lugs and sidewall support. The center starts with a V-shaped lug with steps to each side for extra grip, and the green compound flexes and contours to the ground. Large, staggered traction bars extend off the sides, continuing the V pattern. The shorter bars step in with the center lug, and the longer bars fill the gap underneath and meet near the tire's center line. Sidewall lugs add pinch grip and help with gap crawling, and a small section of rubber is relieved for flexibility. Cuts and slots on the top of the traction bars and lugs break up the flat surfaces for grip. Fits JConcepts #3436B and Axial SCX6 wheels.
