The Ellipse is named after the center bar built into its tread. It complements tires such as the Dirt Webs and Space Bars. The web style was built for smooth, high-grip indoor and outdoor surfaces that need a finely detailed, connected bar pattern. The center is a home run with a diamond 'home plate' footprint for strong forward bite and longer life. The extension webs are unique and directional, which gives the racer plenty of tuning options. The Dirt Web was first released in the 2013 season and won its debut at the CRCRC Midwest Championships. It has since become an industry leader for indoor performance and is often chosen as a control tire for its performance, reliability, and consistency. In 2016, the Space Bars won at the 1/10th Off-Road Nationals with Ryan Maifield in the 4WD modified class. Jason Ruona notes that the Ellipse has a slightly tighter carcass, which lets the driver attack high-speed sections with more comfort. Its home plate and connected web of tread add stability.
