In full-size monster truck racing, teams need transport tires. Big 66-inch tires cannot travel on the road, so smaller tires have to fit on or inside a trailer. Until now, the RC world had no travel tire for monster trucks. JConcepts built this project to add realism to a genre focused on looks and performance. The Transporter is slim enough to fit the #3382B Tribute Transport wheel, which was designed for this use. The tread is a chevron style with alternating bars and slightly recessed lugs that overlap in the center. That center overlap makes a solid pad for asphalt or other hard surfaces that need little deep digging. Toward the outside, the pattern opens up and gives plenty of edge tread for climbing, crawling, and working through varied conditions. The tire is not huge, but it is large enough to handle slightly rough terrain. The Transporter includes a traditional open cell foam insert that supports the compound.
