JConcepts Pin Downs Truck Tires, Pink Compound, 2.2 Inch (2)

About this part

JConcepts has reinvented the pin-style tire with the Pin Downs, a pair of 2.2 inch truck tires in pink compound. The Pin Downs have a pin-spiked tread that is directional for performance and stability. The pins grip the surface in one direction once broken in, and they stand more upright when turned the other way. Heavy radiuses at the base of each pin let the pins wear evenly and keep them from tearing off the carcass early. The tires are made for the 2.2 truck wheels that JConcepts sells as 3354W or 3354Y. The carcass has been refined to save weight while keeping strong sidewall support. The pink compound, marked with two pink dots, is a new medium soft compound with good wear characteristics. The rear tires come with gray open cell inserts, so they are ready to mount. The Pin Downs work best on carpet and Astroturf, where a small pin tire is usually running. JConcepts tested the tires extensively with key drivers, including Jason Ruona and Spencer Rivkin.
