A clear crawler body that recreates the 1961 Corvair Lakewood, built by JConcepts for the Axial SCX24 with a 5.2 wheelbase. The Corvair was introduced as an affordable compact to compete with the Volkswagen Beetle. It was the only American-designed, mass-produced passenger car with a rear-mounted, air-cooled engine. A station wagon version arrived in the 1961 model year. JConcepts built this off-road version of the Corvair in response to customer requests. The Lakewood has rigid lines, scale details, and an off-road stance. Its wheel wells are slightly larger to house crawling tires such as the Tusk, Landmines, and Ruptures. The station wagon body has several side windows, recessed for a clean look.
