Tamiya's 1/12 model of the Nissan Fairlady 240ZG street custom. The Fairlady Z went on sale in October 1969 and became a well-known high-performance sports car. Its long-nose, short-deck body carried a 2-liter inline-six and four-wheel independent strut suspension. The 240Z was an export version with a 2.4-liter engine, also released for the Japanese market in November 1971. The top-grade 240ZG was marked by its long G-nose and composite fiberglass over-fenders, and many tune-up parts were available to owners who wanted to sharpen performance.
