A body post trimmer for drift bodies, with a 6 mm or 10 mm length setting depending on how the tool is oriented. It cuts the top off each body post and leaves a 1 mm chamfer. PREPARATION: Fit the body shell to the car and check that it sits at the correct height. Remove the body and set it aside. TRIMMING: 1. Place the trimmer on the first body post and choose the 6 mm or 10 mm length by orientation. 2. Turn the knurled screw counter-clockwise until it comes out. Insert a cutter knife or scalpel. Turn the knurled screw clockwise until the blade rests on the block at the end of the slot. 3. Remove the trimmer. The cut top of the post comes off with it. Repeat on the other body posts. FINAL CHAMFER: Place the trimmer over the post with the stud hole aligned. Turn the trimmer about 360 degrees under light pressure to cut a 1 mm chamfer. If the chamfer does not come out right, adjust the blade gap. It should sit 0.2 to 0.5 mm from the edge of the aluminum body. The result is smooth, chamfered body posts.
