New and sealed in its original packaging. Great Planes Pro CA Glue Thin, 1 oz. Part number MR6002. The glue stays clear and consistent from bottle to bottle. It is formulated to wick into balsa for the strongest bond possible. Each viscosity in the Pro CA line (CA, CA+ and CA-) is tested for the penetration its application requires. CA is a moisture-activated adhesive stabilized with acids. Moisture on the part and in the surrounding air overcomes that acid and sets the glue in seconds. Woods such as plywood, spruce and balsa have a natural acidity that can counteract the stabilizers, slowing the cure or stopping it altogether. Pro CA is surface insensitive, so it bonds well to all surfaces, balsa included. An activator can speed the cure and increase bond strength when needed. Suited to general hobby work: Airsoft, HO scale train, model rockets, Pinewood Derby and plastic models.
