Press lightly with your thumb on the capacitor shroud (Figure 1). Grip the harness close to the 8 pin connector and pull gently, at a slight angle away from the ESC, to free it from the ESC pin header (Figure 2). Do not yank or force the harness out, as this can damage the ESC or the harness. INSTALLATION: Press lightly with your thumb on the capacitor shroud (Figure 1). Using the color coded wiring diagram on the Monster X label, seat the 8 pin connector on the ESC pin header (Figure 3). Make sure the brown wire sits next to the negative (-) black power wire, since misalignment will stop the ESC from operating. Press firmly on the 8 pin connector until fully engaged. Reconnect the cooling fan and receiver connections.
