This 1:64 scale diecast model is a collaboration between Kaido House and Mini GT, showing a Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) called "The Grasshopper." It is a tribute to the Tamiya Grasshopper, a 1:10 scale radio-controlled buggy that Tamiya released in 1984. That buggy became well known in the RC community for its design and its playful handling. The model reinterprets the Grasshopper in diecast form and is detailed to capture the spirit of the 1984 original. Collectors of diecast cars and RC enthusiasts alike should find it a good match for both interests. It is meant as a collectible piece that links the nostalgic buggy with current model car collecting. About the Grasshopper: the Tamiya Grasshopper R/C kit first appeared in 1984. It remains a favorite among off-road buggy fans because it is easy to build and easy to customize.
