The Porsche 911 RSR 2.8 is now available on the versatile BT-01 chassis. To match the full-size car's motor and drivetrain layout as closely as possible, this kit builds the chassis in the short wheelbase, midship rear motor and rear-wheel drive (MR) setup. It is an engaging rear-drive layout with quick throttle response. The Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 is a legend of the 911 series. It was built to join European GT races in 1973 and had a 2,687cc horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine producing 210hp. It had a light weight body with improved aerodynamics and wide rear tires. The Carrera RSR 2.8 racing version raised displacement to 2,808cc and output to over 300hp. In 1973 it won the European GT race championship and took many global victories. THE BT-01 CHASSIS: The 2WD BT-01 chassis offers two wheelbase options and either front- or rear-wheel drive. The battery pack, motor and R/C equipment stay in the center frame. To switch drive direction, change the attachment direction of the final gears and steering linkage.
