A soldering clamp jig from Hot Racing for RC connectors. It grips, holds, and releases connectors quickly and securely while you solder. It holds XT60, T-plug style, and TRA connectors, EC-2 through EC-5, micro 2-pin to 4-pin connectors, and bullet connectors from 2 to 6.5 mm. The two-piece magnetic design includes alligator clips for holding wire and a storage area for solder. The wide aluminum base adds stability. It can also be used as a motor holder for both 5 mm and 1/8 inch motor shafts. Fits: 3racing Sakura, Align T-Rex 100, Align T-Rex 250, Align T-Rex 450, Align T-Rex 500, Align T-Rex 550. IN THE BOX: One Hot Racing RC connector soldering clamp jig with alligator clips and solder storage. SOLDERING STEPS: Make sure the iron is fully hot. Tin the wires and connector pins with 60/40 electrical solder. Place the wire and pin together against the hot tip until the solder melts. Remove the tip and let the joint cool. WARNING: The main hazard is joining positive and negative wires, which creates a short circuit. Keep one wire properly insulated at all times, and clamp only one pin at a time from the same battery.
