Their purpose is to improve how quickly the car responds, compared with the competition. Because they use fewer coils and thinner wire, they weigh over 40% less than rival springs, which works out to 5.2g per set of four. The linear range covers 1.9 N/mm to 3.5 N/mm, with a progressive spring rated 2.2-2.9 at 19mm long.
