This rear skid plate for the Traxxas Maxx addresses the exposed mounting screws on the stock design. Damage to those screws can carry through to the bulkheads, which means costly repairs. The skid ribs are separated from the screw holes, so the screws are shielded from harm. The ribs also act as wear surfaces, which adds life to the plate. The RPM plate has three full skid ribs, while the stock version has two. The extra rib improves durability and abrasion resistance.
