The Plazma MKIII Limited Alpha-2 is a 1/12 scale 2WD electric RC car in the Kyosho Vintage Series. In the 1980s, 1/12 scale on-road racing was led by the 4WD Fantom EP-4WD, and the rear-drive 2WD Plazma series was its main rival. The original Plazma MKIII Limited, the final and most advanced Plazma, was released in 1987. More than 30 years later it returns, true to the original design but updated for current R/C systems and power sources. It shares some components with the Fantom EP-4WD Ext. Its simple structure makes it lighter and faster than the Fantom on circuits with enough grip. Like the original, the main chassis is carbon fiber, and the upper plate and A-shaped joint bar, originally black composite fiberglass, are now carbon fiber too. The rear differential uses the high-performance ball-diff from the Fantom EP-4WD Ext.
