This HD overdrive machined helical diff gear set has 24/12 tooth gearing and is built for demanding climbs and crawling. Overdrive raises the front wheel rotation for an advantage on steep ascents and sharper, more responsive steering. Helical gears handle higher torque loads and run quieter, since the teeth engage gradually. That gradual engagement also reduces sudden drivetrain shock, which means smoother power transfer and longer component life.
