About this part
The Diamante is AKA's next generation 1/8 buggy race tire, built for hard-packed, dusty, blown-out track surfaces. Its development focused on the three things today's racetracks demand: bump handling, longevity and grip. The carcass is AKA's latest design, taken from the race-winning Component 2AB and optimized for bumpy conditions. Micro-pins along the outer edges reduce edginess over bumps. This is AKA's densest tread pattern to date, for maximum runtime. The rectangular lugs are set with their short side facing the direction of rotation, so each lug has maximum support under load for more forward bite. A diamond-like pattern between the lugs holds grip in slightly dusty conditions, which usually show up late in a long main event.
