This 1/70 scale F-100C Super Sabre is molded in silver and clear and comes with the swivel stand. It is based on the classic Revell tooling, returned to its original form, with original decals and instructions and new box artwork. Skill level 2. The North American F-100 Super Sabre was an American supersonic jet fighter flown by the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1971 and by the Air National Guard until 1979. It was the first of the Century Series fighters and the first USAF fighter able to fly supersonic in level flight, reaching 822 mph. North American Aviation designed it as a higher-performance successor to the F-86 Sabre. The F-100C used a Pratt & Whitney J-57 turbojet with afterburner, rated in the 10,000-pound thrust class. It had a 38-foot wingspan with wings swept back 45 degrees, and an overall length of 47 feet. Armament was four 20mm cannons, with more firepower available from externally mounted rockets.
